From my local elementary school:
We have become aware that an individual in your student’s class, cohort or ride has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
….
In light of the positive COVID-19 case, it is recommended that you do the following:
Have your child mask for 10 days.
Monitor your student for symptoms.
Have your child take a COVID-19 test 5 days after the last exposure.
If your student becomes symptomatic, keep them at home and have them tested for COVID-19.
The only way forward is complete non-compliance.
I trust you will be ignoring their recommendations. If the majority of people ignore it all it will fizzle out. It's the idiots rushing to obey what they perceive as instructions.
(Having said that, I think it will never go away now - people and institutions have all be too well conditioned and it's like a reflex)
