He said what they wanted to hear. Half the country bought it. Half didn't. If he announced today it's Trump's fault, half the country would buy it. Half wouldn't. Bidin's not the problem. The problem is half the country that believes politicians. Until we teach most people not to worship their masters, the outlook for our civilization is bleak.

Sars2 has been effectively irrelevant for most people since the first infection. Most of those who were weak enough to get sick from it were victims of medical malpractice by having therapies withheld that would have saved them. That malpractice is so vast that there are an enormous number of perpetrators desperate to cover it up. As that information finds its way to increasing numbers of victims, demands for vengeance will become very strong. Joe reigned over the greatest mass murder in US history. He might not survive long enough for justice, but others will.

Is he though? Covid is like 4 current things ago. Approval is in the basement, but that's now because of inflation, formula shortages, and the unforgivable sin of failing to escalate WWIII. The price to remedy these inconveniences amounts to the legal fees and palm grease required to trot out Roe v. Wade as a shiny object, plus a cool $40B wired to Voloddy Z, of course.
