The 95% efficacy claim was one of the things that made me delve further into the vaccine data. It smelt like BS but I had people all around me singing and dancing that we were saved. It smelt like BS and a quick look at the data made me realise it was BS. Try telling that to the ones singing and dancing though and the joy quickly turned to anger (and this was mainly from doctors!). I was genuinely shocked how angry people got when the 95% efficacy claim was questioned!

At the risk of repeating myself on every 'Stack in existence today, we have to remind ourselves that the vaccine was ALWAYS going to be '100% effective' at the start because only the people who get through the worry window without getting covid get the 'fully vaccinated' title.

If you get covid during the 'worry window', you're counted as an unvaxxed case, but the shots you got still add to the 'vaccine coverage' total! It's complete datacrime!

Exactly. I wrote this for my friends and my own amusement back in February to explain why even a placebo would have the same effect.
