The data in the UK Surveillance Reports provides information on the relative risks based on age and vaccination status. This data only further reinforces how the risk is primarily associated with age as opposed to vaccination. Below charts each age group & vaccination status COVID deaths/100K for the UK Week 45 report. Note the y-axis is log scale:
Walking through the “Not Vaccinated” by age group:
Not Vaccinated 18-29 year olds are currently slightly more at risk of dying than fully vaccinated 30-39 year olds, and less than 1/2 the risk of fully vaccinated 40-49 year olds.
Not Vaccinated 30-39 year olds are currently slightly more at risk of dying than fully vaccinated 40-49 year olds, and 1/2 the risk of fully vaccinated 50-59 year olds.
Not Vaccinated 40-49 year olds are less than 1/2 the risk of fully vaccinated 60-69 year olds.
Not Vaccinated 50-59 year olds are 1/2 the risk of fully vaccinated 70-79 year olds.
Not Vaccinated 60-69 year olds are less than 1/2 the risk of fully vaccinated 80+ year olds.
Not Vaccinated 70-79 year olds are nearly identical risk of fully vaccinated 80+ year olds.
Here is the rank order of risks by age & vaccination status:
An unvaccinated 18-29 is 230x less likely to die of covid than a fully vaccinated 80+. As has been said elsewhere, this remains an epidemic of the old.
I find it absolutely negligent that no Western government has gathered and published up-to-date statistics so we can determine our OWN risk profile, based upon age, vaccination status, and several of the major comorbidities.
Why, it's almost like it's not about public health at all, and they're not here to serve us.
I don't suppose they included data on the missing donut hole? E.g. vaccinated with one or more doses prior to 14 days after second dose? Or, data on vaccinated with one or more doses at any time post that dose?
